Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care and assist residents with daily living activities
• Support safe transfers and mobility, always prioritizing dignity and comfort
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
• Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and toileting
• Document resident care and observations in a clear, timely manner
• Follow infection control practices and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Communicate effectively with nurses and the care team to support quality care
• Help create a warm, reassuring atmosphere that promotes resident well-being

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — New Mexico certification preferred or eligible to obtain
• Active state registry or ability to register in New Mexico
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable assisting with lifts/transfers and basic mobility support
• Reliable transportation and ability to arrive for scheduled shifts
• Good communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
• Ability to pass required background checks and credentialing

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on resident care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Basic clinical skills: vital signs, documentation, observing changes in condition
• Infection control and safe work practices
• Strong interpersonal skills and compassionate communication
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
• Familiarity with electronic charting or willingness to learn
