Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patient condition using the nursing process to deliver safe, personalized care
• Administer medications and treatments in line with approved nursing techniques and state practice laws
• Develop, initiate and execute individualized patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and the care team
• Document patient care and clinical changes accurately and promptly to support continuity of care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support patient safety and experience
• Provide clinical guidance when floating to other units and help maintain continuity of care
• Participate in performance improvement activities and shared governance to improve unit outcomes
• Escalate clinical concerns appropriately to ensure patient safety and timely interventions

Qualifications

• Current Wisconsin RN license
• BLS/CPR certification required
• Flu vaccination required
• Experience with 12-hour night shifts and availability for every other weekend and holiday coverage
• Ability to float to other units as needed
• Experience in a trauma center or exposure to higher-acuity patients is a plus
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking and effective communication skills
