Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered care and assist with activities of daily living
- Monitor patients closely, take and record vital signs, and report changes to the care team
- Support safe mobility and fall prevention interventions
- Document care accurately and contribute to clear, timely communication with nurses and families
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, comfortable environment
- Build trusting relationships with residents to promote dignity and well-being
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support individualized care plans
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification; T-CNA or travel CNA credentials a plus
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Comfortable with 12-hour night shifts and working as part of a fast-paced care team
- Strong interpersonal skills, reliability, and a positive, patient-first attitude
- Ability to pass required health screenings and background checks for the facility
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Completed state-approved CNA training program and active CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in assisting with ADLs including bathing, dressing, and toileting
- Accurate vital sign assessment and basic clinical observation skills
- Good charting and documentation habits
- Knowledge of infection prevention and safety protocols
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with residents, families, and staff
- Basic mobility assistance and safe patient handling techniques
