Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents of the rehabilitation center
- Perform ongoing patient assessments and monitor vital signs, reporting changes promptly
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document according to policy
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to develop and follow individualized care plans
- Support safe and effective handoffs and maintain clear, timely charting in the medical record
- Educate patients and families about care, treatments, and discharge plans with empathy and clarity
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license (as listed in the order)
- Eligibility to practice in New Mexico (state licensure/authorization)
- Prior clinical experience preferred; acute care or rehab experience is a plus
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Education
- Completion of an accredited LPN program or RN nursing program (as applicable to license)
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid patient assessment and monitoring skills
- Medication administration and accurate documentation
- Wound care and basic clinical procedures common to rehab settings
- Comfortable using electronic health record systems for charting
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Compassionate patient and family communication
