Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside care to residents as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document appropriately
- Monitor and record patient conditions, reporting changes promptly to the care team
- Perform timely and thorough shift handoffs to ensure continuity of care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to create and follow individualized care plans
- Promote patient safety, infection control, and a respectful environment for residents and families
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license (as listed in the job title)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred
- Comfortable working the 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM evening/night shift
- Previous experience in long-term care or similar settings is a plus
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing or Nursing program (LPN or RN credential required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment skills and comfort with routine nursing tasks
- Proficient in medication administration and documentation
- Effective communication and teamwork with interdisciplinary staff and families
- Good time management with the ability to prioritize in a busy care environment
- Attention to detail for accurate charting and following care plans
