Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care including assistance with activities of daily living
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the nursing team promptly
- Assist with safe patient transfers, ambulation and mobility support
- Maintain a clean and safe environment following infection control practices
- Support patients with feeding, toileting and personal hygiene while preserving dignity
- Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members and document care accurately
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification in the state where you will practice
- Current basic life support CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Previous experience as a CNA in a long-term care or acute care setting preferred
- Ability to pass background and health screenings required by facility
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered mindset
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing procedures and patient safety protocols
- Skill in taking and documenting vital signs accurately
- Familiarity with infection prevention and proper PPE use
- Ability to assist with mobility, transfers and fall prevention
- Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs in a busy unit
- Teamwork and clear communication with nurses, therapists and others
