Shift Type: Variable day shift hours with 24/7 accountability (facility schedule varies; candidate will provide coverage across daytime shifts as needed) - 80 hours per 2 weeks
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise nursing staff: hire, train, evaluate, assign, and delegate duties to maintain excellent resident care
- Coordinate and implement nursing policies, procedures, and standards to meet State and Federal regulatory requirements
- Oversee case management, care planning, and interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure continuity of care
- Drive quality improvement by collecting, evaluating, and reporting monthly quality metrics (falls, skin, psychotropic meds, chart compliance)
- Provide continuing education and competency validation for nursing personnel
- Manage infection control practices and ensure compliance with TJC and other regulatory bodies
- Contribute to budget input and maintain monthly expense oversight for the unit
- Act as a patient advocate and resource for residents, families, and the care team
Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in state of practice
- BSN required upon hire
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- 2-4 years supervisory or leadership experience in long-term care or skilled nursing
- Working knowledge of State and Federal long-term care regulations and TJC standards
- Approved CPR certification within 90 days of hire
- Preferred certifications per unit requirements: ACLS, PALS, PEARS, NRP
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- BSN required upon hire
Knowledge & Skills
- Nursing leadership and staff supervision
- Regulatory compliance (State and Federal) and TJC experience
- Quality improvement and quality reporting (falls, skin, psychotropic medication monitoring)
- Care coordination and interdisciplinary team collaboration
- Infection control best practices
- Case management and resident care planning
- Familiarity with reimbursement systems for long-term care
- Staff training, competency development, and performance evaluation
