Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients rapidly to prioritize care in a busy emergency environment
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately while monitoring patient response
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated care
• Perform timely documentation in the medical record to ensure continuity and legal compliance
• Stabilize and prepare patients for transfer or admission, including urgent interventions as needed
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, procedures, and discharge plans with empathy

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Emergency nursing experience preferred, with comfort in fast-paced, high-acuity settings
• Current BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred or ability to obtain promptly
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills
• Ability to function calmly under pressure and work effectively as part of a team

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred
• Completion of state-required licensing and any facility-specific orientation/certifications

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and acute care principles for emergency presentations
• IV therapy, medication administration, and basic procedures common to ER care
• Cardiac monitoring and rhythm recognition
• Skilled clinical documentation in electronic medical records
• Clear communication with providers, patients, and families in stressful situations
