Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care to adult ICU patients
• Assess and monitor patient status using clinical reasoning and best practices
• Administer medications and manage complex IV infusions safely
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
• Operate and troubleshoot common critical care equipment and monitors
• Document patient care accurately and communicate changes in condition promptly
• Educate patients and families with clarity and empathy about care and expectations
• Support emergency responses and assist in procedures as needed

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Experience in ICU nursing or critical care (per diem/contract-friendly)
• BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred or as appropriate for the unit
• Demonstrated ability to manage ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, and complex meds
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in high-acuity teams
• Current TB screening and immunizations per facility policy

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care assessment and rapid clinical decision-making
• Ventilator management and respiratory support understanding
• Hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation of advanced monitors
• Safe medication administration and titration of vasoactive drips
• Patient/family-centered communication and education
• Team collaboration, prioritization, and time management in high-acuity settings
