Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and triage patients quickly and accurately in a fast-paced ER environment
Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients of all ages
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
Monitor patient status, administer medications, and perform necessary interventions
Document patient care clearly and promptly in the electronic medical record
Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up care
Contribute to a culture of safety by following protocols and reporting concerns

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license for California (or compact RN where applicable)
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS and PALS preferred
Previous Emergency Room experience preferred (per-diem/acute care exposure a plus)
Comfortable with fast-paced, high-acuity situations and urgent decision-making
Strong communication skills and ability to work well on interdisciplinary teams

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Triage and emergency assessment skills
Familiarity with common ER procedures and emergency medications
Proficient with electronic medical records and accurate clinical documentation
Ability to prioritize multiple critical patients and tasks
Strong critical thinking, situational awareness, and patient advocacy
