Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Assist patients with hygiene, mobility, transfers, and feeding as needed
- Monitor and accurately document vital signs, intake/output, and patient status
- Communicate changes in patient condition promptly to the nursing team
- Support safe environment practices including infection control and fall prevention
- Build rapport with patients and families to create a calm, reassuring experience
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- Active BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Ability to work the scheduled night shift (07:00 PM - 07:00 AM)
- Comfort with electronic charting or willingness to learn facility documentation
- Strong communication skills and a teamwork mindset
Education
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program or equivalent
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient hygiene, ADLs, and safe transfer techniques
- Basic vital sign measurement and documentation
- Infection control best practices and PPE use
- Clear, timely communication with patients, families, and clinical staff
- Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs during busy shifts
