Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on patient care and daily living assistance
- Monitor and report vital signs and patient changes to the nursing team
- Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics at all times
- Document care activities accurately and timely in patient records
- Work collaboratively with nurses and care staff to enhance patient comfort and outcomes
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification in the state of California
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Proven experience in direct patient care preferred but new CNAs encouraged to apply
- Strong communication skills and a friendly bedside manner
- Ability to pass background check and any required health screenings
- Willingness to work per diem shifts, including 12-hour day assignments
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Completed CNA training program and state certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic patient care and ADL support
- Vital signs measurement and accurate charting
- Infection control and safe hygiene practices
- Patient transfer and mobility assistance techniques
- Time management and prioritization during busy shifts
- Team communication and patient advocacy
