Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate bedside care to patients throughout the night shift
Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
Monitor patient status and promptly report changes to the nursing team
Document care accurately and maintain clear communication during shift handoffs
Support a safe, clean environment by following infection control and safety protocols
Collaborate with nurses and allied staff to deliver consistent, high-quality patient care

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (California preferred)
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
Comfortable and capable working 12-hour night shifts
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Reliability, good time management, and attention to detail

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an approved CNA program and active certification

Knowledge & Skills

Fundamentals of patient care and comfort measures
Infection prevention and standard precautions
Basic vital signs and observation skills
Accurate documentation and effective shift reporting
Ability to work calmly under pressure and prioritize tasks
