Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered telemetry nursing care for adult patients
- Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to changes promptly
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and carry out individualized care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions safely and accurately
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes thoroughly and professionally
- Educate patients and families about disease processes, telemetry findings, and discharge plans
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and safety practices
Qualifications
- Current and active RN license (California) or compact RN license if applicable
- Telemetry/medical-surgical nursing experience preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred or encouraged
- Strong clinical assessment and cardiac monitoring skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment
Education
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and interpretation of cardiac rhythms
- Patient assessment and triage skills
- Medication administration and IV therapy competency
- Electronic medical record documentation
- Time management and prioritization in high-acuity settings
- Ability to collaborate across disciplines and advocate for patients
