Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to emergency patients
Triage, assess and prioritize patient needs in a fast-paced ER setting
Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams for patient care plans
Document patient status, interventions and outcomes clearly and timely
Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and follow-up

Qualifications

Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license required
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
Previous emergency room or acute care nursing experience preferred
Strong assessment, critical thinking and interpersonal skills
Ability to remain calm and organized in high-acuity situations

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Emergency nursing assessment and triage skills
Familiarity with ER workflows, protocols and electronic charting
Medication administration and IV therapy competency
Rapid decision-making and prioritization under pressure
Clear communication with patients, families and care teams
