Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, respectful bedside care to patients during night shifts
Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
Support safe patient transfers and use equipment properly
Maintain accurate documentation and follow care plans provided by nursing staff
Communicate clearly with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care

Qualifications

Active CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant); California certification preferred
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred
Comfortable working overnight hours and providing hands-on patient care
Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
Previous experience in a long-term care, acute care, or similar setting a plus

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Completion of an approved CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

Confident with patient hygiene, positioning, and mobility assistance
Able to take and record vital signs accurately
Familiar with infection control practices and patient safety protocols
Good observation skills and ability to escalate concerns appropriately
Hands-on, practical caregiving with a patient-first mindset
