Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality direct nursing care to residents in the Larkin Chase Center
• Administer medications and treatments safely and according to facility policy
• Monitor patient condition, intervene as needed, and escalate concerns to the interdisciplinary team
• Document assessments, care, and communications clearly in the medical record
• Collaborate with colleagues, therapists, and families to create and follow individualized care plans
• Support a positive, person-centered environment that promotes dignity and recovery

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland or eligible for Maryland licensure
• Open to Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) candidates where applicable per the facility
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications a plus
• Comfortable working a rotating two-week day schedule including weekends
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Professional, reliable, and ready to join a collaborative care team

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
• BSN preferred where available

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Medication administration and safe documentation practice
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and timely charting
• Ability to prioritize, manage time, and handle multiple patients
• Effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Patient-centered approach with strong teamwork and problem-solving abilities
