Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to geriatric residents with dignity and respect
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing and toileting
- Perform routine vital signs and observe residents for changes in condition
- Document care accurately and communicate changes to the nursing team
- Support safe mobility and fall prevention efforts for each resident
- Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through clear, kind communication
Qualifications
- Valid GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification required
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtained soon after hire
- Experience in long-term care or geriatric settings is a plus
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach and strong communication skills
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- GNA certification (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of geriatric care principles and resident-centered practices
- Skilled in assisting with ADLs and basic personal care
- Comfortable taking and recording vital signs and observations
- Familiar with infection control and safe hygiene practices
- Team player with clear communication and documentation skills
