Shift Type: Days vary, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Day shift)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate assistance with activities of daily living to support dignity and independence
- Take and record vital signs, reporting changes to the nursing team promptly
- Assist with safe transfers and mobility to reduce fall risk and promote comfort
- Follow individualized care plans and accurately document resident interactions
- Support mealtime, toileting, hygiene, and grooming with respect and patience
- Communicate clearly with residents, families, and the care team to enhance continuity of care
- Contribute to a clean, safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols
- Participate in team huddles and contribute observations that improve resident outcomes
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification (state-required credential) — your primary ticket in
- Prior experience caring for older adults preferred, but a compassionate attitude is essential
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Ability to pass facility background checks and meet required health screenings/vaccinations
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset for working with interdisciplinary teams
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of an approved Geriatric Nursing Assistant / nursing assistant training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Comfort with providing hands-on geriatric care and supporting ADLs
- Proficiency with basic vital signs and observational reporting
- Knowledge of infection control practices and resident safety measures
- Good documentation skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work calmly under pressure and prioritize resident needs
- Team-oriented approach and strong interpersonal skills
