Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents according to care plans
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Perform thorough patient assessments and document changes in condition
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
- Educate residents and families about care, procedures, and transitions
- Maintain accurate, timely electronic health record documentation
- Follow infection control protocols and promote a safe environment
Qualifications
- Current LPN or RN license in Massachusetts required (must be active and in good standing)
- Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing or Registered Nursing program
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required or willingness to obtain
- Experience in long-term care, rehab, or nursing facility preferred
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach
- Ability to work night shift hours (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN) or Registered Nursing (RN) program
- High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and safe documentation practices
- Resident assessment and care planning
- Wound care basics and pressure injury prevention
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems and charting
- Infection control standards and OSHA guidelines
- Excellent time management and prioritization in a fast-paced setting
