Shift Type: Night shift, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM (days not specified)

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to geriatric residents, assisting with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and toileting
- Assist with safe transfers and mobility support to promote independence
- Monitor residents' condition and promptly report changes to the nursing team
- Accurately document care activities, observations, and resident responses
- Support mealtime needs and adhere to dietary and meal plans
- Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents
- Collaborate with the care team to deliver person-centered care that preserves dignity
Qualifications
- GNA certification required or completion of an approved GNA program
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Previous experience in long-term care or with geriatric populations is a plus
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well on a team
- Ability to perform physical aspects of the role, including lifting and transferring residents with appropriate assistance
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an approved GNA program
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of geriatric care principles and resident dignity
- Basic clinical observation and documentation skills
- Infection control and safe hygiene practices
- Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Compassionate interpersonal skills and patience
- Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
