Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality MRI exams, including dedicated Breast MRI studies, following established protocols
- Operate GE and Siemens MRI scanners safely and efficiently to produce diagnostic images
- Provide patient-centered care: explain procedures, ensure comfort, and monitor patient safety throughout scans
- Maintain accurate patient records and document procedures in Meditech EMR
- Collaborate with radiologists and the imaging team to optimize imaging protocols and workflow
- Adhere to MRI safety policies, infection control practices, and unit guidelines
Qualifications
- ARRT (MRI) certification — required
- Demonstrated experience with Breast MRI procedures — required
- Minimum of 1 year MRI technologist experience (clinical travel or acute care preferred)
- Experience with Meditech and familiarity with GE and Siemens MRI systems — preferred
- Current state licensure as required (able to work in TX for this assignment)
- Strong patient communication skills and ability to work independently on a travel assignment
Education
- Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or related field preferred
- ARRT (MRI) certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on knowledge of MRI physics and dedicated breast imaging protocols
- Proficiency operating GE and Siemens MRI scanners
- Comfortable using Meditech EMR for charting and scheduling
- Strong understanding of MRI safety (ferromagnetic screening, contrast administration protocols)
- Excellent patient positioning skills and ability to obtain diagnostic-quality images
