Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (Day and Night); primary assignment night shift 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM; schedule varies by week and includes rotating weekends

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy and blood products safely and accurately, following established protocols
- Provide skilled cell transplant care and monitoring throughout the transplant process
- Perform frequent lab draws and interpret results to guide timely clinical decisions
- Operate and troubleshoot Alaris infusion pumps and other unit equipment with confidence
- Document patient care clearly and promptly in Meditech EMR to ensure continuity and safety
- Collaborate with the transplant team to maintain appropriate patient ratios (typically 1:3 or 1:4) and deliver high-quality care
- Promote infection control practices (including adherence to unit policies such as mask use) and support a safe environment for immunocompromised patients
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (able to practice in Texas)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience (oncology or transplant experience preferred and highly valued)
- Chemo/Immunotherapy certification through ONS/ONCC (Chemotherapy immunotherapy Certificate) — required
- Demonstrated experience with cell transplant care, blood product administration, and frequent lab draws
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR and competency with Alaris infusion pumps
- Comfort and experience working 12-hour shifts and rotating weekends
- BMT and/or CAR-T experience is a strong plus
Education
- Registered Nurse (RN) — Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in chemotherapy/biotherapy administration and safe handling of cytotoxic agents
- Skill in blood product administration and transfusion monitoring
- Knowledge of cell transplant processes and post-transplant patient needs
- Proficiency using Meditech EMR for accurate charting and handoffs
- Technical competence with Alaris pumps and other infusion devices
- Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and ability to prioritize in high-acuity settings
- Team-player attitude and clear communication with multidisciplinary teams
