Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating day/evening shifts (Monday-Friday) with multiple options: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM; 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM; 10:30 AM - 8:30 PM. Schedule frameworks include 4x10s, 5x8s, or 2x8s + 2x12s to total 40 hours/week. Additional day options listed: 3x12 (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM) and 4x10 (6:00 AM - 11:00 PM). Call as needed (Evening 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Night 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM) and weekend coverage may be required (Weekend shifts 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Rotating schedule with weekends and on-call commitments.
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $77 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care across day and evening shifts to support optimal patient outcomes
- Circulate and scrub in a variety of procedures, assisting surgical teams with precision and calm under pressure
- Document accurate patient records and perioperative notes in EPIC to ensure continuity of care
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate complex cases
- Respond to call and weekend coverage requests reliably and professionally when unit needs arise
- Support specialty cases including robotics, oncology cases, free flap reconstructions and subspecialty procedures
- Maintain infection control and safety standards, including Universal Protocol (time out) and blood product administration
- Participate in professional development, mentoring, and unit initiatives to improve patient care and team performance
Qualifications
- Active RN license (state-appropriate) required
- Minimum of 2 years of OR/perioperative nursing experience required
- BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification required
- EPIC charting experience required
- Circulate and scrub experience required; demonstrated perioperative competency expected
- Travel nursing experience required
- Preferred: ACLS and CNOR certifications
- Preferred experience in neuro, thoracic, ENT, ortho, general, plastics, urology, GU/GYN, free flaps, robotics and oncology
- Comfort with rotating shifts, call responsibilities and variable weekend coverage
Knowledge & Skills
- Perioperative techniques: circulating and scrub role proficiency
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic charting and perioperative documentation workflows
- Robotics experience (Da Vinci SP/Xi) and endoscopic/ laparoscopic instrumentation
- Strong infection control practices and Universal Protocol compliance
- Ability to assist in specialty cases: oncology, free flaps, neurosurgery, thoracic, urology, plastics and ENT
- Skill in blood administration, cardiac monitoring and intraoperative patient management
- Comfort with code response protocols, fire safety and emergency management in the OR
- Excellent communication, teamwork and patient advocacy skills
