Shift Type: Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM NOC; every other weekend required; holiday coverage to be discussed upon hire

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive, compassionate care to mothers and newborns across labor, delivery, immediate recovery, and postpartum
- Monitor maternal and fetal well-being using continuous electronic fetal monitoring and clinical assessment
- Administer medications safely and accurately according to policies and physician orders
- Coach and support patients through labor with evidence-based techniques and emotional reassurance
- Assist during deliveries and be comfortable functioning in the OR setting when required
- Act as the baby RN for immediate newborn care including initial assessment and stabilization
- Educate families on newborn care, breastfeeding basics, and postpartum recovery
- Document care thoroughly and communicate changes in patient status to the interdisciplinary team
- Participate in Trinity skills checklist and specialty competency testing to maintain high standards
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license (RN) required
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, C-EFM
- Minimum 2+ years clinical experience in Labor and Delivery
- Comfortable working in the OR setting and serving as baby RN for post-delivery newborn care
- Completion of Trinity Skills Checklist and Trinity specialty competency testing as required
- Must meet health and screening requirements including immunizations, fit test, and drug screen
- License and certificate verification will be completed prior to start
Education
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Knowledge & Skills
- Maternal fetal monitoring and interpretation
- Newborn initial assessment and post-delivery care
- Labor support, delivery assistance, and coaching
- Medication administration and IV management
- Comfort and competence in operating room procedures and protocols
- Experience with LDRP model care and special care nursery workflows
- Ability to work collaboratively with obstetrics, neonatology, anesthesia, and surgical teams
- Strong clinical judgment, urgent response skills, and compassionate patient education
