Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, supporting dignity and comfort every day
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility support
- Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly and clearly
- Help create a calm, safe environment that promotes independence and quality of life
- Collaborate with the care team to follow individualized care plans and document care delivered
Qualifications
- GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) as listed in the job class
- Comfort working the 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM evening shift
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with residents and families
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach with attention to detail
- Willingness to complete facility orientation and any mandated training
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an accredited GNA program required (as indicated by class)
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of basic resident care and safe transfer techniques
- Ability to follow care plans and accurately document care provided
- Familiarity with infection control and resident safety practices
- Teamwork mindset and reliable time-management skills
