Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans to help patients regain independence
• Deliver skilled occupational therapy interventions focused on ADLs and functional mobility
• Document patient care and progress accurately and in a timely manner to support quality outcomes
• Educate patients and caregivers on safety, adaptive techniques, and therapeutic exercises for everyday life
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate care and improve patient outcomes
• Maintain clean, organized, and compliant treatment areas to ensure a safe therapeutic environment
• Follow facility policies, procedures, and state regulations to maintain professional standards

Qualifications

• Active California COTA license (required)
• SNF or rehabilitation experience preferred
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
• Availability to commit to the full 13-week contract assignment

Education

• Completion of an accredited COTA program (as required for COTA licensure)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with treatment plans and implementing therapeutic interventions
• Knowledge of ADLs, functional mobility, and adaptive techniques
• Effective patient and caregiver education skills
• Strong documentation practices and attention to regulatory compliance
• Collaborative team player with good interpersonal and communication abilities
