Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside nursing care to adults and/or geriatric patients
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Perform routine assessments, monitor vital signs, and report changes promptly
• Document patient care clearly and timely in the electronic health record
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and the care team to support positive outcomes
• Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and adhere to infection control standards
• Step in confidently during urgent situations and escalate appropriately

Qualifications

• Current, active LPN license in North Carolina (or multi-state compact as applicable)
• Clinical experience in a long-term care or acute care setting preferred but not required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications a plus
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multitask, and communicate effectively
• Reliable professional references and successful background/credentialing checks

Education

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
• High school diploma or GED

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong foundational nursing skills: medication administration, wound care, and assessments
• Comfortable with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
• Good clinical judgment and ability to recognize subtle changes in patient condition
• Teamwork mindset with clear, respectful communication
• Time management skills to handle a busy, fast-paced shift
