Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, patient-centered nursing care during overnight shifts with attention to detail
• Assess, monitor and document patient status, communicating changes promptly to the care team
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility policy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and maintain individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families in a compassionate, clear manner to support recovery and discharge
• Prioritize patient safety and infection control while maintaining a calm, professional presence
• Contribute to a positive unit culture by supporting colleagues and participating in handoffs

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse license in good standing (RN preferred)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Comfortable and experienced working overnight shifts and managing acute patient needs
• Strong clinical judgment, reliable documentation habits, and effective communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a team and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, BSN, LPN diploma or equivalent)

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and critical thinking for timely interventions
• Medication administration and safe documentation practices
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate charting
• Infection control principles and adherence to facility protocols
• Excellent interpersonal skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Time management and prioritization during overnight clinical workflows
