Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver patient-centered physical therapy assessment and treatment to support recovery and independence
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence and patient goals
- Document progress clearly and timely to keep the care team informed
- Collaborate with nursing, case management, and rehab colleagues to coordinate care
- Educate patients and families on safe mobility, fall prevention, and home exercise programs
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to advocate for patient outcomes
- Maintain professional standards, comply with facility policies, and support a positive care environment
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted California Physical Therapist license (required)
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Master’s or Bachelor’s in related field considered
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
- Experience in inpatient/rehab settings preferred — new grads with strong clinical skills are welcome
- Strong clinical reasoning, documentation skills, and ability to work collaboratively
Education
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Master’s or Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy or related field considered
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in musculoskeletal and neurological rehabilitation approaches
- Familiarity with therapeutic modalities, gait training, and manual therapy techniques
- Excellent patient education and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize caseload and document progress efficiently
- Comfortable using electronic medical records and following facility protocols
