Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered physical therapy assessment and treatment to support recovery and independence
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence and patient goals
• Document progress clearly and timely to keep the care team informed
• Collaborate with nursing, case management, and rehab colleagues to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families on safe mobility, fall prevention, and home exercise programs
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to advocate for patient outcomes
• Maintain professional standards, comply with facility policies, and support a positive care environment

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted California Physical Therapist license (required)
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Master’s or Bachelor’s in related field considered
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
• Experience in inpatient/rehab settings preferred — new grads with strong clinical skills are welcome
• Strong clinical reasoning, documentation skills, and ability to work collaboratively

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Master’s or Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy or related field considered

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in musculoskeletal and neurological rehabilitation approaches
• Familiarity with therapeutic modalities, gait training, and manual therapy techniques
• Excellent patient education and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize caseload and document progress efficiently
• Comfortable using electronic medical records and following facility protocols
