Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on a skilled rehab unit
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to orders
- Perform timely assessments and document changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support patient recovery goals
- Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge processes to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and adhere to infection control practices
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credential (able to practice in New Mexico or meet local hire requirements)
- Ability to obtain the required clearance letter by arriving 4-5 days before your scheduled start
- Comfortable working overnight shifts and providing high-quality rehab nursing care
- Reliable, local candidate only (this is a LOCAL ONLY assignment)
- Current basic life support (BLS/CPR) recommended if available
Education
- Completion of an accredited practical nursing program
- Active LPN license (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong skills in patient assessment, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring
- Experience with wound care, ADL assistance, and mobility support in a rehab setting
- Solid documentation skills and familiarity with electronic medical records
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with patients, families, and staff
- Good time management and the ability to prioritize in a busy overnight environment
