Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients’ physical, cognitive, and functional abilities to create a clear starting point for therapy
- Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans that promote independence
- Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions to improve activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Monitor patient progress and make data-driven adjustments to treatment plans
- Educate patients and families on therapy techniques and practical home programs
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in line with facility and regulatory guidelines
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care
Qualifications
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in New Hampshire or eligibility to obtain one
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Previous rehabilitation or clinical experience preferred
- Strong communication and patient care skills, with a patient-centered approach
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of occupational therapy assessment and treatment planning
- Skilled in therapeutic interventions to improve ADLs and functional independence
- Ability to document clinical progress accurately and thoroughly
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective patient and family education
- Comfort working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team
