Shift Type: Sunday-Tuesday nights, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM (Night); 4th night rotation every other week; includes on-call coverage, weekends and holidays
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform and collect diagnostic information including pulmonary function testing, PadNet, sleep studies, and blood gas analysis
- Assess patients accurately using physical exams and diagnostic data to inform care decisions
- Apply respiratory therapeutics such as medical gas therapy, humidity and aerosol therapy, airway clearance, and ventilator management
- Manage artificial airways including insertion, maintenance and care
- Monitor and evaluate patient response to interventions and adjust treatment as needed
- Participate in discharge planning and collaborate with case management to ensure safe transitions
- Engage in public education activities to promote cardiopulmonary wellness in the community
- Attend mandatory safety in-services and department meetings to maintain best practices
Qualifications
- Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician or Registered Respiratory Therapist (required)
- Active, current Colorado Respiratory Therapist license
- Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience (required)
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP certifications
- Comfortable with night shifts, on-call duties, and weekend/holiday coverage
- Strong clinical assessment and ventilator management skills
Education
- Certification or registry from a college or technical school in respiratory care
- Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician or Registered Respiratory Therapist credential
Knowledge & Skills
- Mechanical ventilation and ventilator management
- Blood gas analysis and interpretation
- Pulmonary function testing and diagnostic procedures
- Airway management and artificial airway care
- Aerosol and humidity therapy techniques
- Sleep study procedures and PadNet experience
- Patient assessment, critical thinking and clinical documentation
- Collaborative teamwork and clear communication with interdisciplinary teams
