Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate medical-surgical nursing care during night shifts
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and vital signs to detect patient changes early
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments safely and accurately
• Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Document patient care and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team
• Support smooth transfers and discharges, ensuring great continuity of care
• Actively participate in unit-based quality and safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Active RN license (required)
• ACLS certification (required)
• BLS/BCLS certification (required)
• Previous medical-surgical nursing experience required (MUST HAVE MED SURG EXPERIENCE ONLY)
• Telemetry experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required per State of Maine mandate

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong telemetry monitoring and interpretation skills
• Excellent patient assessment and clinical judgment
• Skilled in medication administration and IV therapy
• Effective documentation and EHR proficiency
• Teamwork, clear communication, and ability to work independently on night shift
• Knowledge of infection control and safety best practices
