Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality portable and departmental general X-ray exams for ED and inpatient populations
- Operate and troubleshoot radiographic equipment (GE, Siemens, Shimadzu) while following safety protocols
- Use EPIC and McKesson PACS to document studies, transmit images, and support timely reads
- Collaborate with radiologists, transport staff, and other technologists to deliver patient-centered care
- Maintain radiation safety standards and proper use of personal protective equipment
- Prioritize accurate patient positioning, imaging technique, and image quality for reliable diagnostics
- Participate in a structured orientation and ongoing teamwork to ensure smooth shift coverage
Qualifications
- WA State DOH Imaging License in hand (required)
- ARRT registered (Certified Radiologic Technologist) required
- BLS certification required
- COVID vaccination required as listed by the facility
- Minimum 2 years of radiologic technologist experience (one year in a fast-paced hospital preferred)
- Experience with portable X-ray and general radiology workflows; fluoro exposure is a plus
- Comfortable working in an acute care environment and collaborating across shifts
Education
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) credential
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- WA State DOH Imaging License (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in General X-Ray and Portable X-Ray techniques
- Familiarity with EPIC charting and McKesson PACS image management
- Experience with GE, Siemens, and Shimadzu imaging equipment
- Strong radiation safety practices and patient positioning skills
- Able to handle a variable volume of studies (roughly 20–50/day) efficiently
- Clear communication and teamwork skills for multi-technologist coverage
