Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered occupational therapy interventions under the direction of the OTR to help clients regain daily living skills
• Implement individualized treatment plans and document progress clearly and timely
• Use adaptive equipment and therapeutic techniques to maximize patient independence and safety
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and physicians to coordinate care and support discharge planning
• Educate patients and families on home programs and adaptive strategies to continue progress after discharge
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented culture by sharing observations and participating in care meetings

Qualifications

• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required
• Ability to start the 14-week assignment beginning 2026-03-16 and complete through 2026-06-15
• Current, unrestricted license or certification as required by state regulations to practice as a COTA
• Comfortable working in a rehab-focused setting (Powerback - Contract) and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams
• Strong documentation skills and ability to manage caseloads Monday through Friday

Education

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant or related field preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in therapeutic techniques to support activities of daily living and functional mobility
• Knowledge of adaptive equipment, splinting basics, and activity modification strategies
• Strong clinical documentation and charting skills
• Clear verbal and written communication with patients, families, and team members
• Time management and organizational skills to manage a consistent weekday caseload
