Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care including assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Monitor and record patient vital signs accurately and report any changes to the nursing team
• Support the interdisciplinary team by communicating patient status clearly during handoffs
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility to promote patient independence and prevent falls
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
• Document care and interventions in a timely and professional manner
• Be flexible and responsive to patient needs and unit staffing demands, picking up shifts as required

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Texas CNA (T-CNA) certification required
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings preferred
• Open availability and flexibility to work PRN blocks and pick up shifts as needed
• Comfortable working an overnight 12-hour shift (5:00 PM - 5:00 AM)
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and assistance with ADLs
• Vital signs monitoring and basic clinical observation
• Infection control and safe patient handling
• Clear, timely documentation and communication
• Time management and the ability to prioritize in a busy setting
• Teamwork and adaptability in a PRN/travel environment
