Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to assigned patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
• Perform focused patient assessments and report changes to the care team
• Collaborate with nurses, providers, and allied staff to coordinate patient care
• Maintain accurate electronic health records and complete required documentation
• Support patient discharge planning and education to promote positive outcomes
• Uphold facility policies, infection control standards, and patient safety practices

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted LPN or RN license in North Carolina appropriate to role
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications a plus
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
• Comfortable working a full 12.5 hour shift (7:00 AM to 7:30 PM) and managing time effectively
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Previous acute care or long-term care experience preferred but not mandatory

Education

• LPN: Vocational Practical Nursing diploma or equivalent
• RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in medication administration and basic clinical procedures
• Skilled in patient assessment, vital signs, and wound care basics
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate charting
• Able to prioritize tasks, multitask safely, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of infection prevention and patient safety best practices
