Roles & Responsibilities

• Design and deliver practical, engaging nursing education tailored to staff needs
• Coach and mentor bedside nurses to improve clinical skills and patient outcomes
• Lead competency assessments and track progress to ensure regulatory readiness
• Be a subject-matter resource for PointClickCare workflows and documentation best practices
• Collaborate with leadership to identify gaps and implement targeted training solutions
• Provide bedside support and step in as a floor nurse when the unit needs extra hands

Qualifications

• Current RN license (must be valid for practice in New Hampshire or be compact-eligible)
• Experience as a Nurse Educator or clinical educator role preferred; strong floor nursing background welcomed
• Proven proficiency with PointClickCare — efficiency in PCC is essential
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) required; additional certifications a plus
• Excellent teaching, communication and interpersonal skills; able to motivate adult learners
• Comfortable working independently while integrating into an existing team

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN/ASN minimum; BSN preferred)
• Ongoing professional development in nursing education or clinical specialties encouraged

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and curriculum development
• Expertise in electronic health records with an emphasis on PointClickCare
• Clinical assessment, care planning and documentation best practices
• Ability to evaluate training effectiveness and drive measurable improvements
• Excellent verbal and written communication; skilled at presenting to groups
• Flexibility to switch between educator duties and direct patient care as needed
