Shift Type: Rotating nights, 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (typically 3x12 shifts / 36 hours per week), every-other-weekend and holiday rotation; schedule published 6 weeks out for 4-week blocks; travelers should be flexible and available for standby/call during assigned 12-hour shifts

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care to ICU and stepdown patients across both campuses
- Interpret telemetry and monitor strips and act quickly on dysrhythmias and other urgent findings
- Safely titrate and manage IV drips (Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Insulin) according to protocol
- Float between ICU, MedSurg Tele, PCU and ED holding as needed, adapting your skills to each setting
- Collaborate with monitor techs, respiratory therapy and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Perform thorough post-procedural and post-op care (including cardiac cath and CABG recovery)
- Document accurately in Cerner and complete required orientation and competency validation
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted RN license (must be eligible to practice in Arizona)
- Minimum 2 years of professional nursing experience (job posting specifies 2 years)
- At least 1 year experience in an ICU setting (explicitly required)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
- Ability to pass the dysrhythmia exam within two attempts with a minimum score of 80% prior to contract start
- Comfortable titrating drips and managing common ICU medications listed in the job details
- Willingness to float across units, work nights, participate in every-other-weekend and holiday rotations, and accept standby/call when scheduled
- Must meet Radius Rule: cannot have been full-time, part-time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit-associated facility (including CHI and/or Dignity) within the past year
Education
- Active RN license required
- BSN not required (BSN: No as listed); diploma/ADN acceptable per job posting
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong telemetry and ECG/dysrhythmia interpretation skills
- Proficiency managing multiple titratable infusions and hemodynamic monitoring
- Experience with Cerner electronic charting and documentation workflows
- Comfort caring for geriatric, post-cardiac cath, CABG post-op and other acute care diagnoses
- Familiarity with CPAP/BiPAP/heated high-flow oxygen therapies and collaboration with RT
- Excellent prioritization, communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced float pool environment
- Adaptability to work across different units and patient populations with professionalism
