Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assist residents with activities of daily living
- Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team promptly
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control best practices
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning while using safe body mechanics
- Document care accurately and communicate effectively during shift handoffs
- Build trusting relationships with residents and support their emotional well-being
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification (T-CNA classification accepted as listed)
- Previous experience as a CNA preferred but new grads with training are welcome
- Ability to work scheduled night shifts (Sun, Wed, Fri)
- Current basic life support (BLS/CPR) preferred or willingness to obtain
- Pass required background checks and health screenings
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred; CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong hands-on resident care skills including bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Comfortable taking and documenting vital signs and observations
- Knowledge of infection control practices and safe handling techniques
- Reliable communication and teamwork skills to coordinate care
- Ability to follow care plans and accurately complete documentation
