Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients in a busy rural ED
• Rapidly assess and triage patients, identifying priorities and escalating care when needed
• Evaluate patient outcomes and adjust the nursing care plan to ensure safe, effective recovery
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate medical and nursing management
• Document care accurately in the EHR (Meditech) and maintain clear, timely communication
• Function effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment and contribute as a proactive team member
• Ensure credentialing documents are submitted on time to avoid delays to your start date

Qualifications

• Current Vermont RN license or compact multi-state RN license (required)
• Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department RN experience (required)
• BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• TNCC and trauma nursing experience preferred
• Familiarity with Meditech or the ability to learn clinical systems quickly
• Ability to work night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) and perform in a busy ED setting
• Credentialing documents must be uploaded no later than five business days before start

• Nursing care process: assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation
• Trauma nursing principles and crisis resource management
