Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8-hour day shifts (start between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM; times flexible as long as consistent and communicated with DOR)
Hours per Week: 35
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with physical functioning disorders and wound care using evidence-based assessments
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care that meet regulatory and clinical standards
- Administer therapeutic interventions including manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, ambulation training, modalities, and wound care
- Assess patient progress, document changes, and adjust treatments to ensure effective outcomes
- Provide meaningful consultation and counseling for patients, families, caregivers, and other providers
- Document all regulatory and clinically required information accurately in the electronic medical record and maintain patient records per policy
- Record treatment minutes precisely and prepare comprehensive discharge summaries when appropriate
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings such as patient care conferences and utilization review to advocate for the best patient outcomes
- Obtain necessary DME and supplies and support safe, functional patient mobility
- Supervise and support physical therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and students to foster high-quality care
Qualifications
- Missouri State License (Compact allowed) — REQUIRED
- Minimum 1 year of PT experience — required; new graduates accepted if they have Level II clinical experience (no Level I observation only)
- Experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) or Rehabilitation — REQUIRED
- Comfort supervising PT assistants, aides, and students
- Adherence to APTA and State practice acts, professional code of conduct, and ethics
- Proficiency with electronic documentation systems and accurate regulatory documentation
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment and standardized outcome measures
- Developing and implementing plans of care
- Therapeutic exercises and manual techniques
- Use of modalities and supportive/assistive devices
- Wound care management
- Accurate clinical documentation and treatment minute recording
- Supervision and mentoring of therapy staff and students
- DME procurement and utilization review processes
- Familiarity with APTA and state practice acts and regulations
- Comfort participating in interdisciplinary meetings and consultations
