Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide excellent, compassionate patient care and ensure patient safety during CT exams
• Operate CT equipment skillfully to capture required diagnostic images
• Perform routine radiation safety and quality control checks to protect patients and staff
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to CT procedures
• Stock and organize supplies and assist with scheduling to keep the department running smoothly
• Coordinate with radiologists and the Department of Radiology leadership to support patient care
• Support a 24/7 radiology service by participating in night and on-call coverage as needed

Qualifications

• ARRT certification (required)
• BLS (AHA) certification (required)
• Graduated from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology (required)
• Minimum 24 months current CT and X-Ray experience in a hospital setting (required)
• Resume, discipline-specific skills checklist (within the last year), and 2 supervisory references from the last 2 years (required)
• Flu vaccination status required (please include vaccination status in submission notes)
• COVID vaccination preferred (please include status if vaccinated)
• Certifications do not need to be active at time of submission but candidate must be willing to obtain if requested

Education

• Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong CT and X-Ray/Radiography technique and image acquisition skills
• Thorough knowledge of CT equipment operation and routine maintenance
• Radiation safety practices and quality assurance monitoring
• Patient positioning, care, and communication skills for all ages
• Scheduling, record keeping, and departmental organization
• Ability to work in a consultative, multidisciplinary radiology environment
