Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide excellent, compassionate patient care and ensure patient safety during CT exams
- Operate CT equipment skillfully to capture required diagnostic images
- Perform routine radiation safety and quality control checks to protect patients and staff
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to CT procedures
- Stock and organize supplies and assist with scheduling to keep the department running smoothly
- Coordinate with radiologists and the Department of Radiology leadership to support patient care
- Support a 24/7 radiology service by participating in night and on-call coverage as needed
Qualifications
- ARRT certification (required)
- BLS (AHA) certification (required)
- Graduated from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology (required)
- Minimum 24 months current CT and X-Ray experience in a hospital setting (required)
- Resume, discipline-specific skills checklist (within the last year), and 2 supervisory references from the last 2 years (required)
- Flu vaccination status required (please include vaccination status in submission notes)
- COVID vaccination preferred (please include status if vaccinated)
- Certifications do not need to be active at time of submission but candidate must be willing to obtain if requested
Education
- Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong CT and X-Ray/Radiography technique and image acquisition skills
- Thorough knowledge of CT equipment operation and routine maintenance
- Radiation safety practices and quality assurance monitoring
- Patient positioning, care, and communication skills for all ages
- Scheduling, record keeping, and departmental organization
- Ability to work in a consultative, multidisciplinary radiology environment
