Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate registered nursing care in an ambulatory HIV primary care and urgent care setting
- Deliver direct patient care including assessment, triage, and urgent interventions
- Coordinate care for complex and high-risk patients, ensuring smooth handoffs and follow-up
- Educate and coach patients on treatment plans, medication management, and harm-reduction strategies
- Support medication management processes and adherence counseling
- Participate in interdisciplinary care planning to optimize patient outcomes
- Engage in quality improvement activities and help refine clinic workflows
Qualifications
- Active California RN license (required)
- AHA BLS certification (required)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (required)
- Minimum 6 months ambulatory nursing experience
- Experience caring for people with HIV and/or substance use disorder populations
- COVID-19 vaccination and booster per facility guideline (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
- HIV/AIDS Certified RN (ACRN) preferred
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
