Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate registered nursing care in an ambulatory HIV primary care and urgent care setting
• Deliver direct patient care including assessment, triage, and urgent interventions
• Coordinate care for complex and high-risk patients, ensuring smooth handoffs and follow-up
• Educate and coach patients on treatment plans, medication management, and harm-reduction strategies
• Support medication management processes and adherence counseling
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning to optimize patient outcomes
• Engage in quality improvement activities and help refine clinic workflows

Qualifications

• Active California RN license (required)
• AHA BLS certification (required)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (required)
• Minimum 6 months ambulatory nursing experience
• Experience caring for people with HIV and/or substance use disorder populations
• COVID-19 vaccination and booster per facility guideline (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
• HIV/AIDS Certified RN (ACRN) preferred

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
