Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Monitor and document patient vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
• Provide compassionate, respectful care that preserves dignity and comfort
• Support safe transfers and ambulation using proper lifting techniques
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records and communicate with interdisciplinary staff
• Help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients and families

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential (required)
• Active state registry listing or ability to register in North Carolina as needed
• Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate patient-centered care
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Basic computer literacy for electronic charting and documentation
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain

Education

• Completion of an accredited CNA training program or equivalent
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and patient mobility
• Familiarity with infection control and basic safety protocols
• Accurate vital signs collection and observational skills
• Ability to document clearly and follow care plans
• Good interpersonal skills and a calm, professional bedside manner
• Time management and ability to prioritize patient needs
