Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, resident-centered care that preserves dignity and independence
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting)
• Support safe mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Measure and report vital signs and any changes in resident condition to nursing staff
• Document care clearly and accurately in resident records
• Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team and family members
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection prevention practices
• Participate in care planning and contribute observations that improve resident outcomes

Qualifications

• Valid GNA certification (required)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or required per facility policy
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
• Up-to-date immunizations as required by the facility
• Compassionate attitude, strong communication skills, and a team-first mindset

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• GNA certification or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of geriatric care principles and common age-related conditions
• Skilled at taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with ADLs, safe resident handling, and transfer techniques
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Understanding of infection control and safety procedures
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with residents
