Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on each shift
• Perform thorough assessments and communicate changes clearly to the care team
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Document patient care in the electronic health record in a timely manner
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and update care plans
• Support patients and families with education, emotional support, and resources
• Advocate for patient safety and quality outcomes in all clinical activities

Qualifications

• Active RN or LPN license (eligible to practice in Maine or compact license where applicable)
• Minimum relevant clinical experience (facility will confirm preferred years)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; additional certifications (ACLS, PALS) encouraged as applicable
• Good standing with previous employers and ability to pass background and health screenings
• Comfortable working in acute care / skilled nursing environments and adapting to facility protocols

Education

• LPN: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
• RN: Graduate of an accredited associate or bachelor’s nursing program (ADN or BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and clinical judgment skills
• Medication administration and safe documentation practices
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and documentation standards
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with patients, families, and staff
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Working knowledge of infection control, HIPAA, and safety protocols
