Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage the Cost Accounting system to drive accurate service line profitability analysis and maintain high-integrity P&L reporting.
• Oversee the productivity system and publish monthly service line and physician practice P&Ls and scorecards to inform leadership decisions.
• Lead Decision Support efforts for major strategic and financial planning projects, ensuring tools and outputs support executive priorities.
• Prepare and review financial feasibility studies in STRATA — calculating ROI, payback period, NPV, IRR and other key investment metrics.
• Validate cost structure updates and partner with leadership to develop performance improvement plans for underperforming service lines.
• Compile data and generate reports for audits, insurance renewals, FEMA/Single Audits, GME reporting and external agency submissions.
• Train and mentor managers, the supervisor of decision support, and special projects analysts to interpret productivity and financial tools effectively.
• Manage requests for ad hoc and annual audit-related reports, including cost report filing and community benefit reporting from STRATA.
• Provide oversight and support for software implementations as needed, including ERP components, leasing software, and the STRATA forecasting module.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required).
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in cost accounting, budgeting and/or decision support (required).
• Healthcare experience and familiarity with STRATA financial software or similar systems (required).
• Proven experience publishing P&Ls and preparing financial analyses for leadership and external agencies.
• Preferred: Master Degree (MBA or Health Administration) and financial/healthcare certifications.
• Preferred: Experience with hospital contracting, bundled payments, and physician reimbursement.
• This is an onsite management role in Dover, DE — ability to work onsite is required.

Education

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (required)
• Master Degree in Business Administration or Health Administration (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Cost accounting and service line profitability analysis
• STRATA financial software (including STRATA forecasting module) and STRATA-based feasibility modeling
• Decision support, financial forecasting and budgeting
• P&L preparation, financial reporting and reimbursement analysis
• Experience with ERP implementations and leasing software oversight
• Preparing audit and regulatory reports (GME, FEMA/Single Audits) and reporting to rating agencies
• Mentoring and training managers on productivity and financial tools
