Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care nursing for ICU patients, maintaining a typical 2:1 patient ratio
• Perform and manage invasive procedures and monitoring such as central line and arterial line care
• Assist with or manage airway interventions including intubation and ventilator support
• Care for patients with EVDs and coordinate with core staff for specialized needs
• Document patient care accurately in the Meditech EMR and communicate effectively with the care team
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Maintain unit standards and follow ICU policies to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) credential (required)
• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience (explicitly required)
• ACLS certification (required)
• Demonstrated experience with critical care procedures: central line, A-line, intubation, EVD care
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced ICU setting and supporting a team-oriented culture
• Meditech EMR experience preferred; oncology, neuro, BMT, or PCU experience a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical care nursing knowledge and assessment skills
• Proficiency with ICU monitoring and standard ICU equipment
• Skilled in invasive line care and emergent airway management
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation workflows
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and accountability in high-stress situations
• Ability to adapt to rotating schedules and provide consistent weekend coverage
